Membership covers you anywhere in Australia
By becoming an Ambulance Victoria member, you and your family will be 100% covered for emergency and medically approved non-emergency ambulance treatment and transport across Australia. Whilst you must live in Victoria to be eligible to apply for Ambulance Victoria membership, members are covered for the same benefits interstate that they would have received had they been in Victoria.
Medicare does not cover ambulance services
Ambulance transport and treatment is not a free service. Medicare does not cover the cost of emergency transport or other ambulance services. Average emergency transport cost is in excess of $2,000. Make sure you have 100% genuine Ambulance Victoria Cover.
Ambulance Services are not free in Victoria
Ambulance transport and/or treatment in Victoria are not free. Unless you have Ambulance Victoria membership, hold a Health Care Card or a Pensioner Concession card you may receive a bill from Ambulance Victoria in the event you require transport or treatment.
note: a Commonwealth Seniors Health card does not provide free ambulance cover.
