A gift in your Will (also known as a bequest) can help us save more lives today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
Government funding enables us to deliver our core ambulance services across Victoria, but a gift in your Will, big or small, helps us invest in additional equipment, specialist training, and lifesaving innovations that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.
Leaving a gift in your Will is a powerful reflection of your values and the care you have for your community.
Your legacy could be the reason someone gets a second chance.

Ways to leave a gift in your Will
When leaving a gift in your Will, you can decide whether your gift is a general one or goes towards a specific area or purpose.
- General means your gift will be used in a way that Ambulance Victoria decides is best.
- Specific purpose means you can outline specific wishes in your Will, such as putting the gift towards new equipment.
No matter the size, your gift helps ensure every Victorian receives the emergency care they need today and into the future.
There are different ways you can decide to leave a gift in your Will.
Residual bequest
After looking after your loved ones, you can leave what’s left of your estate to Ambulance Victoria.
Percentage bequest
You can leave a portion of your estate, such as five per cent or 10 per cent, to support our life-saving work.
Pecuniary or specific bequest
You may decide to leave a set amount of money, or a particular item, like property or shares.
Whole estate bequest
Some people decide to leave their entire estate to Ambulance Victoria.
For your peace of mind
You’re free to change your mind. If your plans change or if you decide to update or remove a gift in your Will, simply contact your solicitor to make the necessary changes.
You can choose to stay anonymous. Your privacy is important to us, and we’ll respect your wishes.
You can make your donation public. Your gift can be recognised in our annual report. Let your solicitor know.
If you have already included us in your Will
Thank you! Letting us know helps us plan and honour your intentions. It’s optional to tell us, but we’d love the chance to say thank you and understand how you’d like your gift to be used.
