Suggested wording for Wills

Residual bequest

After looking after your loved ones, you can leave what’s left of your estate to Ambulance Victoria.

I give and bequeath the residual of my estate to Ambulance Victoria, 375 Manningham Road, Doncaster, Victoria, 3108, for general use, as outlined in the Ambulance Services Act 1986 (Vic).
I declare the following:
- the receipt, acknowledging payment, by the Chief Executive or any person with the title “Manager” shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees; and
- my executor and trustees shall not be obliged to enquire into the application of money or assets, the subject of such legacy.
I give and bequeath the residual of my estate to Ambulance Victoria, 375 Manningham Road, Doncaster, Victoria, 3108, for the specific purpose of [insert purpose – e.g. Paramedic education & training, Fleet & Equipment, Research and development, Community Education & Engagement, or for a specific region].
I declare the following:
- the receipt, acknowledging payment, by the Chief Executive or any person with the title “Manager” shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge to my executor and trustees.

Percentage bequest

You can leave a portion of your estate, such as five per cent or 10 per cent, to support our life-saving work.

I give and bequeath [insert percentage] of my estate to Ambulance Victoria, 375 Manningham Road, Doncaster, Victoria, 3108, for general use, as outlined in the Ambulance Services Act 1986 (Vic).
I declare the following:

- my executor and trustees shall not be obliged to enquire into the application of money or assets, the subject of such legacy.

Pecuniary or specific bequest

You may decide to leave a set amount of money, or a particular item, like property or shares.
