More than a donation

For more than a decade, Jan Edwards and the Edwards Foundation have been valued supporters of AV, contributing almost $90,000 to projects and priorities that strengthen patient care and support our people.

Alongside her late husband, Kim, Jan began supporting AV after hearing our service needed support. What started as a small donation has grown into an enduring partnership built on shared values, admiration for our paramedics and a desire to make a meaningful difference.

For Jan, one of the most rewarding parts of supporting AV has been the relationships she's built along the way.

"Rather than just donate money, we always like to have a relationship with the people we're supporting," Jan said.

Each year, Jan takes the time to learn more about the areas of greatest need before making the Foundation's annual gift. Whether supporting lifesaving equipment, research or other priorities, she values knowing how her generosity is helping patients, paramedics and Victorian communities.

"It's all this lovely contact and feedback with who we give money to that means so much to me," she said.

Jan's story is a reminder that every gift, no matter where it begins, can create a lasting impact. More than that, it shows the power of partnership. Our supporters aren't just donors, they're valued members of the AV community helping us continue to deliver the highest quality care when Victorians need us most.

Thank you, Jan, for more than 10 years of generosity, compassion and support.
