Well, it's great to be here at the Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation for the Gippsland First Responders Conference for 2026.
Amazing first responders from right across Gippsland region here, learning from their paramedic colleagues, learning about how they can continue delivering best care to Victorians right across this beautiful region.
It's awesome to be here with them.
So we're here today with close to 70 first responders and staff from across the Gippsland region and more broadly who support our first responder teams.
In Gippsland, we've got about 180 to 200 first responders at any one time who provide support right across our region in all three of our ASAs, and particularly in our more remote communities where we struggle to provide a paramedic presence otherwise.
So it's a fantastic opportunity to bring all of our first responders from Gippsland together in one location to network, share and learn, and ensure that they refresh their skills and they can take that back to the communities that they serve to provide best care across the region every time.
