Kate MacRae (Scope CEO): Best Care is really important for people with disabilities and for those who are seeking to provide them with treatment in an ambulance or in an emergency department. It gives a means of communication between the two parties. For people that don't use speech as their means of communication they're incredibly disempowered and disadvantaged in an emergency health situation.

Colleen Furlanetto OAM (AV Community Advisory Committee Chair): I think at ambulance we're very proud of the fact that we see each person often at their worst day. And helping them to the best we can includes this communication project and the success that that will be around also bridging the gap between collecting enough information to ensure that you have the right information to offer best care and ambulance Victoria is committed to that.
Carmen: Best Care is important so people can communicate.
