We are pleased to announce we have today signed the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2025 (AVMA 2025).

We acknowledge the strong support shown by Ambulance Victoria’s (AV) corporate, operational management and specialist workforce for the AVMA 2025, with an overwhelming majority of eligible employees voting in favour of the Agreement when the ballot closed at 3pm on Friday 5 June. This result reflects a shared commitment to strengthening AV and delivering the best possible outcomes for both employees and the community.

The Agreement represents an important turning point for AV. It demonstrates what can be achieved when AV and unions work together in the interests of employees and the organisation. Together, we are setting a strong foundation to move forward with a shared purpose: delivering world-leading, timely prehospital emergency care while ensuring all our people feel valued, supported and motivated to perform at their best. Of course there is more work to be done, and this new Agreement supports our continued improvement.

The four-year AVMA 2025 delivers a comprehensive package of improvements to employees’ experience at work. These include enhancements to salary, career progression, mobility, work-life balance, and more equitable access to opportunities and conditions.

A key feature of the Agreement is the introduction of a performance-based salary progression model, linking annual salary increments to capability development, productivity, performance and professionalism. The model reflects a shared commitment to recognising contribution, encouraging development, and rewarding high performance across the organisation.

AVMA 2025 will now be submitted to the Fair Work Commission for approval. The AVMA 2025 will be operational seven days after formal approval is granted.

We thank all employees for their participation, feedback and patience through the bargaining process, and acknowledge the constructive and collaborative efforts of all parties involved.

Together, we now move forward with a renewed focus on delivering a high-performing, sustainable and worldclass ambulance service for Victoria.
