RESTART A HEART DAY 2019 – OCTOBER 16

October 8, 2019 | in Community News, News

Restart a Heart Day is an annual event that aims to teach anyone how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to use a defibrillator (AED).

Paramedics across the state will be standing by to arm you with the basics of Call, Push, Shock – CALL Triple Zero (000), PUSH hard and fast on the middle of the chest, and SHOCK using an AED.

Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, at anytime, anywhere so this is your chance to learn how to save a life.

Wednesday 16 October is Restart a Heart Day so look out for local events in your area.

While you’re there stop by and ask paramedics about becoming a GoodSAM responder https://www.ambulance.vic.gov.au/goodsam/

You can also join in the conversation on social media and share your Restart a Heart Day messages using #restartaheart to improve bystander CPR rates in Victoria.
