Individuals with a desire to contribute to the work of Ambulance Victoria are being encouraged to apply to join the Ambulance Victoria Community Advisory Committee.
Ambulance Victoria is currently accepting expressions of interest for membership for the next round of recruitment, with submissions due by 5pm on Thursday 10 November.
The Committee was established earlier this year to inform the Ambulance Victoria Board and Executive on matters relating to community and stakeholder engagement and participation.
The role is to advocate the views of consumers, community and carers while providing advice on appropriate participation and engagement.
Committee members are charged with the responsibility of advising the Ambulance Victoria Board on priority areas and key issues, strategy, service delivery, planning and policy development.
Committee members represent a diverse range of views, including those of rural and regional Victoria, groups facing disadvantage and disability, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Members are appointed as individuals, rather than representatives of organisations. Appointments are for a renewable term of up to three years.
