Ambulance Victoria’s auxiliaries have been part of ambulance in since 1918. There now 70 auxiliary committees throughout Victoria.
Today well over 800 auxiliary members make up this large team of volunteers who give tirelessly to support and enhance their local ambulance branch in their communities.
Auxiliaries are associated locally with a branch, or branches, to be community advocates for AV and to raise funds. These funds are for additional or advanced equipment over and above what is provided through AV’s ambulance service budget.
