After completing the Graduate Ambulance Paramedic program, our paramedics continue training for their entire careers. This continued professional development ensures Ambulance Victoria paramedics are able to provide the most up to date life-saving interventions and stay safe while they are doing so.
There are also opportunities for paramedics to learn specialist skills that allow them to take on other roles, including becoming Mobile Intensive Care paramedics, Air Ambulance paramedics and moving into team, group and regional management.
Ambulance Victoria also provides training to volunteer first responders and to Remote Area Nurses who provide emergency care in remote parts of the state.
