Stretchers and boards are used by our paramedics to move patients. We have a variety of stretchers and boards that can be used for different purposes.
The main stretcher is used to wheel a patient that needs to be lying down. This stretcher is then automatically locked into the ambulance and can simply be wheeled out when they arrive at hospital. The stretcher bed can be set up in different ways, allowing a patient to lie flat or be sitting back on an angle.
Boards are used to immobilise, or keep a patient still. They are espicially important in patients with spinal injuries but can also be used to move a patient out of a difficult location.
