A family membership can be divided into two single memberships if a couple separates and have no dependants. Both single memberships will retain the original joining date and expiry date of the family membership.
If there are dependants, one party can maintain the existing family membership whilst the other can establish a new single membership and have the qualifying period waived. This new single membership will need to be paid for on set up to ensure that you are covered against the cost of ambulance attendance or transort.
