Non-Emergency Transports

Apart from our emergency responses, we also provide non-emergency transport to more than 220,000 patients.

This is done through the use of contracted non-emergency patient transport (NEPT) partners as well as our in house clinic car and stretcher services. This is done in compliance with the NEPT regulations that stemmed out of the Non Emergency Patient Transport Act 2003.

NEPT must be instigated by medical request from your doctor or hospital. A booking can be made by completing the  booking form.  There is a new fax number for rural bookings.  The new number is at the top of the form.

AV and ESTA have recently implemented changes to call-taking process, to ensure capture of appropriate information to comply with NEPT Regulations. This includes provision of mandatory information regarding patient acuity as found in the Call Taking Process.
