Ambulance Victoria has 250 ambulance branches strategically located across the Victoria. An ambulance branch is the starting point of a shift for paramedics.
Ambulance branches are designed to allow paramedics a chance to rest when not responding to calls as well as undertake training, debrief and store medical equipment, vehicles and supplies.
We now aim to have ambulance branches designed with built in sleeping areas for paramedics on night shifts, kitchens, lounge areas, offices, study areas and garages.
