Woman injured in alleged car jacking

6 Nov 2009

Ambulance Victoria paramedics have treated a woman injured during an alleged car jacking in Richmond this afternoon.

Advanced life support paramedics from Southbank and a single responder intensive care paramedic were called to the corner of Little Charles Street and Victoria Street at 2.15pm.

Advanced life support paramedic Andrew Gent said they arrived within six minutes to find the woman, who was visibly upset, sitting in her car.

‘She was quite traumatised by the incident so we sat with her and helped calm her down,’ he said.

‘The 39-year-old woman suffered a number of cuts to her hands.

‘We covered the wounds with pads and bandages and she was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.’
