A boy has suffered a suspected spinal injury after a trampoline accident in Rosebud this afternoon.
Advanced life support paramedics from Mornington were called to the house at 4.45pm.
Paramedic Amir Samuel said they arrived within six minutes to find the boy lying on his back in the middle of the trampoline.
‘The 9-year-old boy told us he was doing a front flip when he landed on his head and heard a crack,’ he said.
‘He was suffering severe neck and back pain which lead us to believe he had injured his spine.
‘Given the potential for a spinal injury we fitted a neck brace to the boy and strapped him to a spine board.
‘He was treated with pain relief through an inhaler and taken to the Monash Medical Centre in a stable condition.’
