A man who discovered his Reservoir home on fire this morning was treated by paramedics.
Advanced life support paramedics from Preston were called to the fire just before two o’clock.
Advanced life support paramedic Chris Tassell said the man had some minor burns.
‘There was quite a large blaze coming from the house and quite a bit of confusion with a lot of people standing around,’ Mr Tassell said.
‘We weren’t initially sure where the occupants of the house were but soon located them.
‘A 25 year-old man was quite anxious and quite distressed about what was happening so we reassured him and checked him over.
‘He had some minor burns to the finger tips and top of his head so we put a gel covered bandage on his head to reduce the pain.
‘We also found he was having a little bit of trouble breathing so we gave him some Ventolin to help with that.
‘He was taken to The Austin hospital in a stable condition,’ Mr Tassell.
