A 91 year-old man was run over in the driveway of his Langwarrin home on Monday night.
Intensive care paramedics from Frankston and advanced life support paramedics were called to a house at 10.18pm.
Intensive care paramedic Matthew Smith said they arrived to find the man lying under the back of the car.
‘We believe the 91 year-old man fell over in his driveway during the evening,’ Mr Smith said.
‘A car arrived at the house and the driver didn’t see the man, and accidentally ran over him.
‘It appears the drivers side wheels of the car went over the man’s chest.
‘The man suffered fractures to his ribs and numerous grazes and skin tears over his body.
‘He was given some pain relief to help settle him and he was taken to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition,’ Mr Smith said.
