Paramedics treated a girl for possible spinal injuries on Monday after she fell from a tree at Kyabram.
Advanced life support and intensive care paramedics were called to the scene just after 8am.
Intensive care paramedic Bruce Eddington said they found the girl lying on the ground when they arrived.
‘We were told that she was climbing a tree to retrieve her car when she lost her footing and fell.
‘It’s believed that she dropped about three metres onto the hard ground below.
‘As we assessed her, we had concerns for her spine. She had some tenderness through the back of her neck and her upper back.
‘She also had a painful stomach, a slight headache and was a bit hazy on the details of what had happened.
‘Because of the concerns for her spine, we used specialised equipment to keep her body as still as possible before carefully lifting her to a waiting stretcher.
Then we used a drip to give her pain relief medication to help make her more comfortable.
‘She was then taken to Shepparton Hospital in a stable condition,’ Mr Eddington said.
