Three injured in truck accident

13:30   23 Jan 2012

Three men were taken to hospital today after two trucks collided, forcing one into a wall in Mernda.

Advanced life support paramedics were called to the intersection of Mernda Village Drive and Galloway Drive at 1.33pm.

It appeared one truck had collided with the rear of another truck, forcing it into a building.

Luckily all men escaped serious injury and no one from the building was injured.

A 17-year-old man suffered swelling and bruising above his eye and grazes on his leg.

He was treated with pain relief through an inhaler and taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.

A 29-year-old man from the same truck suffered soft tissue injuries to his leg and a 34-year-old man from the other truck suffered pain to his thumb and hip.

Both were taken to the Northern Hospital in a stable condition.
