Workers hit by fumes

DETECTIVES are investigating how a dozen insurance office workers were overcome by a chemical fumes coming from two envelopes.

Ambulance officers treated the workers after the envelopes were opened in the mailroom of a (removed) form.

Ambulance Victoria spokesman Lindsay Bent said the workers suffered nausea and headaches, but none were taken to hospital after the incident at the (removed) centre.

it is not known where the envelopes were sent from.
