A shooting overnight at Dallas has left a teenager and man injured.
Advanced life support and intensive care paramedics were called to a home where the incident happened just after 11pm.
Intensive care paramedic Alan Penaluna said when they arrived they found a 16 year old girl had been shot in the lower body.
‘Thankfully a piece of clothing had been used to help stop the bleeding.
‘We used an oxygen mask to help her breathing, before bandaging the wound.
‘Given the pain she was in, we also gave her drugs to help make her more comfortable’ Mr Penaluna said.
She was then taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
A 22 year old man who was also injured in the incident had his wound cleaned with saline at the scene by paramedics.
The man declined paramedics’ offers of transport to hospital.
