Man stabbed at Doncaster

4 Nov 2009

A man has suffered stab wounds in an attack at Doncaster this morning.

Intensive care paramedics were called to a house just before one o’clock.

Intensive care paramedic Wayne Brooks says a 46 year-old man was stabbed.

‘The man suffered a number of wounds to the upper body,’ he said.

‘We dressed the wounds, and put a drip in his arm to provide him with fluid.

‘A sensor was put on the man’s finger to check the level of oxygen in his blood, and he was given oxygen.

‘He was also given some pain relief through the drip.

‘The man was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition,’ Mr Brooks said.
