Desktop Support Officer – South East Region (Fixed Term)

Ambulance Victoria (AV) currently has a Desktop Support Officer position available within our Service Management team.  This is a fixed term contract until 30 June 2013.  The position is located in Carrum Downs and covers the south east region.

A requirement of this role is to be available to participate in the on call after hours support roster.

The primary objective of this position is to develop and maintain the level of IT service delivery within AV by providing hardware and software support as well as training for all AV desktops, laptops, printers and other IT infrastructure to ensure systems are operational and reliable, meeting agreed SLAs.

To apply for this position you must have:
• Demonstrated experience in identifying business requirements, imaging PCs and notebooks
• Demonstrated experience working with desktop operating systems, applications and hardware
• Understanding of Active Directory and associated principles
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Productivity applications
• Demonstrated experience in TCP/IP WAN/LAN multi-site environment, including VPN technologies, cabling qualifications beneficial
• Basic understanding of radio and electronics beneficial
• Current Victorian drivers licence

To be successful in this role it is essential you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, customer service, and prioritisation abilities.
